Ampeg

Ampeg

Ampeg debuted the 300-watt SVT (Super Vacuum Tube) bass amplifier with a matching 8 x 10" cabinet in 1969 in response to the need for more power as concert venues grew larger and larger. By the end of the year, SVTs were seen backing the Rolling Stones on tour, being used for both guitar and bass. Still today, the Ampeg SVT is the amp that the most demanding bassists turn to night after night in clubs and arenas - not to mentions recording studios - all around the world. For commanding bass sound, Ampeg rules!
